Guide to Downloading and Testing the Matrix Arrow EA MT5© Demo Version in the Strategy Tester 

Don’t forget that the demo version of the Matrix Arrow Indicator MT5© is also required for testing the Matrix Arrow EA MT5©. Below, you’ll find a video walkthrough and step-by-step instructions for the procedure. 

1. In your MT5 terminal, open the Market tab (1). Use the search area to type: matrix arrow (2), and the Matrix Arrow Indicator MT5© along with the Matrix Arrow EA MT5© will appear. Click on the Matrix Arrow Indicator MT5© (3) to go to its page. 

2. Hit the Download Demo button (4) next to the Matrix Arrow Indicator MT5© to add the demo version to your Market Indicators folder. 

3. Use the little grey arrow in the upper left of the Market tab to navigate back, then select the Matrix Arrow EA MT5© (5). 

4. Tap the Download Demo button (6) on the Matrix Arrow EA MT5© page to add the demo version to your Market Experts folder.  

5. In your MT5 terminal, go to View >> Strategy Tester and select the Matrix Arrow EA MT5© from the Market folder to run a test (7). 

6. Specify the instrument for testing (8), the preferred timeframe (9), the test's time duration (10), and the account balance along with leverage (11). 

7. Open the Inputs tab in the Strategy Tester, right-click Load, and load the corresponding set file (12) found on the product's description page or further down on this page. 

8. Adjust the trading hours to match your broker’s server time (13), since the set files are optimized for ICMarkets Raw Spread GMT+3 accounts. If your broker is GMT+3 in summer and GMT+2 in winter, you don’t need to make any changes. Afterward, click Start in the bottom right corner of the Strategy Tester to begin (14). 

You can find your broker’s server time in the Marketwatch window. If your broker’s server time differs from GMT+3 (summer) or GMT+2 (winter), you must modify the trading hours of the provided set files. For instance, if your broker’s server time is GMT+0, adjust all trading hours by moving them 3 hours back, as shown below: 

Start Hour: 12

Start Minutes: 00

End Hour: 22

End Minutes: 50

you need to change it to:

Start Hour: 9

Start Minutes: 00

End Hour: 19

End Minutes: 50

Attention!

If you want to trade the Matrix Arrow signals with your Matrix Arrow EA MT4/5©, you must purchase the Matrix Arrow Indicator MT4/5© separately! Otherwise the Matrix Arrow EA MT4/5© will work as a manual trade panel only.
